Steve Martins (born April 13, 1972 in Gatineau, Quebec) is a professional ice hockey player. He is currently under contract with and playing for the Chicago Wolves of the American Hockey League.
Steve Martins. Gatineau boy chosen in the 1994 NHL Supplementary draft selection, 5th selection of the 1rst round by the "home" team. Ottawa chose Steve Guolla as their 3rd pick of the 1rst round for that same draft. This was the last supplemental draft endorsed by the NHL. In the entry draft, Ottawa chose Radek Bonk 3rd overall in the 1rst round. Steve Martins didn't stay long within the organization that drafted him and signed as free agent by Ottawa in 1998. Moved here and there along the waiver wire/free agency among Tampa Bay, NYI, St. Louis, and back to Ottawa. Finished off career in AHL. So lots of possibilities in this clue but really there is only one connection that fits best...it's the one not given.
